Youre allowed to feel, and experience whatever emotions make the most sense to you.

Anything on your heart is yours to own and experience as you just.

Dont let anyone tell you how to feel or to get over a certain feeling before youre ready.

Theres nothing wrong with you.

Theres nothing bad about having the emotions that you do.

And know that people are here for you, in whatever way you allow them to be.

Open yourself to that acceptance, to that care.

Realize that even if you dont feel like yourself, you dont have to feel like youre unimportant.

You dont have to be at home or have a home to feel the holiday spirit.

Maybe youre away from home.

Maybe youre living on your own.

Maybe your travel plans were cut because of funds or the inability to travel.

5. you’re free to find happiness in the little things.

Maybe you havent really been feeling your best.

Maybe youre just tired, or down, or dizzy as the Christmas rush spins all around you.

However you feel, whatevers going on, know that there is so much to be happy about.

And you might find joy in noticing the little things.

Though sometimes it can feel like you dont matter,you do.

Let yourself see and believe this.

your mental health is a priority.

And you dont need to be struggling alone.

Make time for yourself and to do what feels right to you.

In the rush of the holidays, its so easy to move at 2740mph.

Its so easy to neglect yourself and what you need.

Its so easy to be busy and fall into unhealthy habits.

This season, verify to take time to do things foryourself.

Make yourself and your self-care a priority.

You dont have to be everything for everyone.

You dont have to have theperfect gifts, the perfect house, the perfect decorations.

You wont always feel the way you do right now.

Maybe youre down in the dumps.

Maybe youve been battling a serious mental illness.

Maybe youre just about ready to give up.

Seek help, seek medical attention, seek what it’s crucial that you heal.

But also acknowledge that the way you feel right now wont last forever.

And cling to that hope.

There will be better days.

There will be days that dont involve gifts and reunions and gatherings filled with food anddrinks.

There will be days where you might just relax, just refocus, just be your own company.

Remember, the holiday season is about the spirit, not the tangible gifts.

Dont get caught up in gift-giving, in list-making.

How incredible is that?

Its not about the gifts, but the gift we were given.
