Sometimes the asshole is you.

@katiekhromova
Sure, sometimes things are messy.
Its 100% hurting you and your relationships more in the long run when you overcomplicate them.
They dont tell you what they know youre already hoping theyll say.

They tell you the truth.
There is a difference between just listening, and actually being there for someone.
Someone whos there just giving half-assed advice or not actually having your best interest in mind?

@katiekhromova
Thats not a good friend, or one that will actually stand the test of time.
But if everything coming out of your mouth is drenched in negativity and all woe is me?
But feeling insecure and overspending is not just weird or even sillyits downright stupid.
Even if you love what you do.
Even if youre happy most of the time.
Even if its your dream job.
The person youre actually trying to convince is you.
And youre likely the only one listening.
If youre trying to quit eating something, suck it up.
If you want to make any change?
you’ve got the option to probably suck it up.
Its really, really not.
People can live without you, love without you, work without you,existwithout you.
Take responsibility, take initiative.
Dont be the person wandering in circles wondering why the same stuff keeps happening.
Do something about it.
The person who steers the ship?
The only person who can ultimately take charge of your life is you.
You cant wait for anyone else to do it.
It has to be y-o-u,you.
