What can I do to be helpful?

God & Man
Im not mad at you.
This is not your fault.
Lets go to a quiet place where you could feel safe.

Where would that be?
You are sostrongand youwillget through this.
Im sorry life can be so hard.

God & Man
Lets focus on your breathing.
Ill even breathe deeply with you and we can get a nice, calming pace going.
Theres some good deep breaths!
In and out, to the count of three.
I can hear the pain youre in and I know it hurts so badly.
But this wont last forever, I promise you.
What can we do to do that?
Lets focus onthe present.
This is the only moment we have complete control over.
After all, youve gotten through this before.
And you will again.
What you are feeling is scary, but it will not hurt you.
(If the person takes medication): Do you want me to grab your meds?
Thats what theyre there for.
What you are feeling is not shameful.
Im not going anywhere.
This will be over soon.
This is all temporary.
Im not judging you.
I know this is so incredibly difficult.
What can I say to help you feel even just a little better?
Can I put my arm around you?
You are not weak.
(If youre in public or at a triggering place): We can leave if that will help.
We dont have to stay here.
I love you so much.
You are such a warrior for living withanxiety.
And Im so proud of you.
