With a credit card, youre buildingcredit, which is invaluable for your future.

Youve lost touch, or distanced yourself from an unhealthy relationship.

As you mature, you realize that you dont need to put up with peoples crap.

And the ones that arent, you give yourself space from.

You have your own bank account.

You pay your bills on time.

You understand (and maybe even use) auto-pay for an account or bill.

You are the sole decision-maker when it comes to groceries or odds and ends for yourself.

You belong to a gym/take workout classes/find ways to stay active.

You know how to prioritize your money.

(AKA: Needs > Wants.)

You dont spend the entirety of your paycheck in the first week.

You actually have a savings account (and actually put money in it).

Youre not just dumping your paycheck into an account linked to your debit/credit card.

Instead, youre putting money in a place where it can be saved, or even invested.

Youve landed your first job, or at least have had a few productive interviews.

(And youre walking into interviews prepared, confident, and excited.)

You use social media responsibly.

You dont burn bridges when something doesnt work out.

Whether its a relationship, a job, a connection, etc.

you take careful steps in removing yourself.

You have a professional email address, and know how to send appropriate messages.

You arent afraid to say no, if something doesnt feel right.

You have fallen in and out of love at least once.

You have tried something new/done something you never thought you would.

Youve purchased gifts for people who matter, and written thank you notes or messages when youve received gifts.

Youve made new friends.

Youve filtered your social media to be more professional.

You check your bank statements at the end of every month to check that there arent any fraudulent purchases.

Youve felt (and maybe even still feel) lost.

Maybe youve settled for a crappy job to get experience.

Maybe youve fallen into a different line of work just to make ends meet.

Or maybe youre just working somewhere for the interim.

Youve moved, relocated, changed your living space, or went away for a period of time.

You have actual, tangible goals.

Goals that you’re able to identify.

Goals that you’ve got the option to actually see progress, or determine when youve reached them.

Goals that push you to be a better version of yourself.

You have tried something you absolutely hated.
