I have a love-hate relationship with Instagram.
Its unhealthy, and yet I cant stop using it.
But, Ive learned that there are ways of navigating this and ways of protecting myself.

Are you spending too much time on it?
Have you ever wondered how much time youre spending on social media apps?
Say, having an actual conversation with an actual human being.Actual real life social interaction, you gasp?
Are you using it as a source of validation?
Reality check, it doesnt!
Hell, if you get no likes, that doesnt diminish your worth.
Is your feed a trigger?
That means you could tailor your feed to suit your interests, hobbies and what inspires you.
This doesnt need to be something you are actively aware of, but it will be happening subconsciously.
Tailor your feed so the images youre processing are helpful, calming and inspirational.
Are you constantly making comparisons?
Are you watching what your bae is liking?
Trust me on this one: dont look.
Are you using it to stalk someone?
Is it worth it just for a few minutes of your curiosity being satisfied?
Are you doing things simply for the gram?
Im working on it, its a process.
Trust me, no one cares about the photo or video as much as you do.
Be present and live in the moment.
