When it comes to who she was before she met you, you are completely in the dark.
Shes difficult to pin down for plans.
This isnt because shes trying to play hard to get or anything like that.

She always says things are fine.
She never seems to have a bad day.
Work is productive, her friends are good… shes just fine!
But this isnt necessarily the whole picture.
Because when youre terrified of getting hurt, youre constantly on guard and thats exhausting both emotionally and mentally.
Though you havent caught her doing this often, she overthinksa lot.
She thinks shes being self-protective in her analysis, but shes only making the wounds of past hurt deeper.
She never asks for your help.
You may think its because shes independent and this may be true.
She would rather handle anything on her own than be disappointed once again.
She tests you by pushing you away.
She wants to give you a chance, but love has never worked out in her favor.
Its only caused her pain, so now she is incredibly cautious with her heart.
She wants to double-check youre different before she lets you in her world.
