You’re not exceptional for being mortal, or having to learn to coexist with others.
Theres a dark part of your psyche that is dependent on believing this, too.
Our common wisdom fosters fragility, and centers on emotion-based thinking, and victim-based identity.

God & Man
When you feel stuck, it is because you gotta take action and you think that you cant.
When you feel hopeless, its because you have moved into the passengers seat of your life.
There are things in the world that you cannot control, because they are under other peoples jurisdiction.

But the things that affect your own life?
It always has been.
But these are both variables that everyone is working with.
Youre not exceptional for being mortal, or having to learn to coexist with others.
More importantly, what you do in the face of them determines the significance of your life.
What impact do you leave, knowing you will die?
How do you treat people, knowing they will not be here forever?
What do you choose to do in the face of other peoples poor decisions?
Do you sit on the sidelines, or do you show up to the game?
Do you know what happens to people who do that?
The end up with closed minds, empty hearts, and deep wells of longing and dissatisfaction.
Maybe you dont control whether or not you lose a job.
Maybe you dont control your genetics.
You do control what you eat, how you exercise, and how you take care of yourself.
Maybe you dont control some aspect of your appearance.
In many cases, your ambition and will can eventransformthem.
A good life is not something we are given.
It is something we create.
Its not about whats out of your control.
Its about what you do anyway.
Its about how you defy odds, resist norms, make the impossible real.
People do it all the time.
Are they more gifted, privileged, or responsible than you?
But mostly, they are enabled and empowered.
They believe they can, so they do.
