I hate the immediacy of texting.

There are some things I want to say without getting an instant reply.

I would rather write a letter and send it through snail mail.

It would take some of the pressure off the situation.

It would make me less nervous.

Knowing youre going to read my text seconds after I press thesendbutton is stomach-churning.

It makes me sick with anxiety.

I keep backing out at the last second because it scares me too much.

Im terrified of what you might say to me.

I know the second my message travels from my phone to yours, Im going to start freaking out.

Even once you respond the first time, its not like the anxiety will disappear.

It will continue for as long as our conversation continues.

If we were sending letters, it would be easier on me.

And if you ever decided to write back to me, I would feel less rushed about answering you.

I would have the time to think of all of the right things to say.

I would be able to get my feelings across clearer.

I would feel more comfortable opening up to you.

Just thinking about it is making me sick.

Im not sure which move is the right move.
