But it was his best friend Thomas’s monologue that really hit me the hardest.

Its his friends Sophie and Thomascomplicated characters themselveswho attempt to usher Marc through his grief.

Much can be said about the film and Levys performance as both the main character and the writer/director.

In addition to Marcs one-track minded grief, theres Sophies self-sabotaging spirals and Thomass barely concealed loneliness.

Its like people can smell it on me.

I cant be the only one who relates so much to him in this moment.

So many of us wonder whats different about us.

Why does everyone find love but us?

So few movies have characters going through something like this, let alone explaining it so succinctly and emotionally.

And much of this is due to Himesh Patels flawless performance.

We can see that sadness surrounding him like a cloud through the movie.

We all relate to someone, right?

Some might relate to the complicated nature of grief that Marc suffers through.

But us lonely hearts?

That we neednt have worried.

That maybe we just arent the oneyet.
