You know what youre doing.

You have a handle on yourself.

And then a memory will pop out of nowhere, flooding you with bad feelings.

In an instant, youll remember why you walked away from them.

Youll remember why you swore you would never look back.

Youll remember why you deserved so much better than them.

Just like that, youre back to wanting nothing to do with them.

After all, youre not actually done dealing with the damage theyve caused.

Youre still coping with the things theyve said to you, still healing from the pain theyve caused.

It still surfaces here and there, at random times, just when youre finally feeling safe.

When you miss someone toxic, its a roller coaster.

Your emotions can change by the hour.

They did the worst things imaginable to you but they also were there for you during your worst moments.

If youre feeling this way, you gotta know its okay to miss someone toxic.

Your brain isnt wired wrong.

Your heart doesnt have horrible taste.

Its natural to miss someone who was such a big part of your life.

Its normal to feel tempted to reach out to them.

But missing someone doesnt mean you should probably get in touch with someone.

It doesnt mean they deserve a second chance.

It doesnt mean youre meant to be together.
