Why is it that sometimes it feels easier to be broken than to heal?

Have you ever felt that way?
Been shattered and wanted to just sit in that misery?

Than trying to drag your heavy body off the ground and back onto your feet again?
Its like were scared of the possibility.
Or maybe its just the fear that we wont get better.
Or maybe, honestly, its the fear of feeling good.
Maybe weve become so comfortable with the shell weve built around ourselves.
Weve become hard and harsh; we dont want to let anyone in.

Re-defining who you are ishard.Especially when you created yourself in a relationship, and that person left you.
I mean, at that point, why would you even want to loop back and try?
Especially when everything you thought you were, thought you knew, has been destroyed?
So we fall into the belief that this brokenness is all there is.
That were somehow deserving of the things that have happened outside of our control.
Right?Have you told this to yourself before?
We start thinking ourselves into corners, start fueling our minds with negativity rather than hope.
We start identifying ourselves by our brokenness.
Sometimes we make our brokenness out to be so beautiful.
But its not ourbrokennessthats beautiful.
Itswho we areand can bedespite brokennessthats beautiful.
But theres so much more.
Were not just broken people.
Yes, we all have brokenness.
But that is not what we are defined by; that is not who we are.
We get scared of the possibilitythat we might actually redefine ourselves as something even stronger than we were before.
That we mightgive our lives to Godand find healing and peace.
Were scared of feeling good.
Our bodies and soulswilllift because we wont have to be that broken person anymore.
We will be free.
So honestly, what the hell are we waiting for?
