Even though it doesnt feel like it right now.
Even though you dont believe me.
Even though youre not sure what to believe anymore.
I dont want to live without you.
Can we give it another try?
You will get over wishing you hadnt loved as fully or as fiercely as you did.
You will get over the anger of feeling like youre being taken for a ride.
You will get over the hurt of feeling like youve been left behind.
You will get over wondering whether he ever cared about you at all.
(He did, even if it was only briefly.)
You will get over the sorrow of realizing that opening his heart is not your job and never was.
You will get over the longing to feel his skin and lips and hands against yours.
You will get over the fear that you might never feel that kind of chemistry and connection again.
You will get over wishing you could see him one more time because you know it wont change anything.
But that giving yourself time to heal will change everything.
And then that day will come when you wake up and suddenly find yourself smiling for no apparent reason.
And you will realize he was not the first thing on your mind.
And you will feel excited to jump out of bed and into your day the way you used to.
And you will know that you deserve so much more than what youve been accepting for yourself.
And you will accept that you deserve someone with a heart as open as yours.
And you will know you will never settle for less again.
And you will know you are enough and worthy and beautiful with or without a guy.
And you will know that you are loved.
Not because someone else loves you, but because you love yourself.
That day is coming.
Just as long as you allow yourself to feel everything youre feeling in this moment.
Just as long as you dont resist or fight or attempt to change what youre experiencing this second.
Because one day you will be.
