Youre letting him do whatever he pleases.
By sticking around and picking up his slack, youre telling him his behavior is okay.
Youre not giving him any incentive to start contributing more.

Brandon Woelfel
The more you chase him, the lazier hes going to get.
Hes not going to make the first moves anymore.
Hes not going to bother to chase you back.

Hes going to assume youll do the heavy lifting for him.
Hes going to leave all of the hard work for you.
The more you chase him, the more youre going to resent him.
One day, youre going to start getting frustrated about the ignored texts and missed calls and canceled dates.
Either way, chasing him is going to hurt you.
Its going to make you feel insecure.
Youre going to wonder whether youre doing something wrong, whether theres something youre lacking.
When you chase him, youre putting yourself in a vulnerable position.
He can reject you.
He can ghost you.
He can break your heart.
Meanwhile, hes in the safest position possible.
He knows youre going to double text if he ignores you.
He knows youre going to forgive him if he apologizes.
Hes confident you arent going anywhere while youre nervous hes going to leave at any second.
And thats not the way a healthy relationship should be.
You dont want to be the only one who puts in effort.
You dont want to be the only one who tries.
You want to find someone who likes you as much as you like him.
Someone who puts in as much effort as you put in right from the start.
