Its all right to feel things to a point that makes you want to clench your fists tight.
Its fine to be angry.
So how can we possibly cope with negative feelings when we repress them at all costs?

It starts from an early age.
From when adults around us tell us, Dont get angry.
Or Dont be upset.

And we listen, thinking that they know best.
Hide our anger and upset and tears behind forced smiles.
Childrens memories are shorter, and slowly we convince ourselves of our own lies and are happy again.

Its harder when we grow up.
Its harder to forcibly let go of a feeling as an adult.
Why before we feel them, we are already being forced into letting something go.
Repression is deeply unhealthy because eventually these feelings do come out.
So instead, feel it.
But not because someone has told you to.
Not because someone has made you, but because you have finally chosen to.
Because it was your choice and your choice alone to let them ago.
Only then will you feel truly rid of any negativity that exists inside you.
