when your mental isn’t labeled as severe

God & Man

Everyone needs different amounts of care and medicine.

I have a close friend who takes the smallest dosage of Zoloft, meanwhile I take the highest amount.

It doesnt mean that her anxiety is any less than mine.

Its just brain chemistry.

Not everyone with anxiety is going to have the same symptoms.

Not everyone with depression is going to seem like it.

But I can almost guarantee you, youre not.

Everyone single person you know is fighting something.

And if its not panic attacks, its OCD.

And if its not depression, its ADHD.

And if its not anxiety, its Bipolar Disorder.

And so on, and so on.

Mental illnesses are incredibly common, especially for the millennial generation.

And you know what?

they arent pretty or beautiful.

It is still legitimate.

And it doesnt mean you suffer any less or more than other people who struggle.

Take care of yourself.

Get yourself the medicines you need.

Dont listen to the people who question it.

They dont understand what you go through on a day to day basis.

They dont understand what you go through when youre suffering.

They have never walked in your shoes or even tried to.

Dont let anybody say that their suffering is greater than yours.

Dont let anybody compare your illness with theirs.

You are the only one who knows your body like you do.

You are the only one who lives in your head and in your mind.

Your feelings are valid.

Your illness is real.

And it doesnt matter what people label it as.

It doesnt how many people tell you that you are weak or small or lying.

They dont get it, and thats their problem and their loss.

you’ve got the option to feel like you are dying inside while doing laundry.

While trying to sleep.

And at the end of the day, no one will ever know how much you struggle.

And at the end of the day, no one knows your truth.
