Sometimes, you never see your heartache coming.
It catches you completely off guard.

And other times, you’ve got the option to see it from miles away.
You know the relationship isnt going to end well, but you cant help yourself.
Even though you cannot picture a reality where this ends well for you.
Its not because youre reckless.
Its not because youre on some self-destructive path where youre actively trying to break your own heart.
You want to at least give them a chance.
Your friends could give you a million warnings.
Your gut could do the same.
But you arent going to pay too much attention to what could go wrong.
You arent going to let yourself think too far ahead.
After all, you realize this cannot last forever.
You realize its going to go downhill eventually.
You realize this is only a temporary situation.
Even when you see your heartbreak coming, it still stings.
It still puts you in a rough position.
It still makes your chest ache, your stomach twist, your heart sore.
Youre left wondering why you ever thought it would be a good idea to get involved with him.
